A companion piece, or sequel, to the ‘Descent’ album that was released back in November 2009. 4 songs (eerily clocking in at 5mins48secs both sides) of the bands passionate, intense screamo that will be instantly familiar to anyone who fell in love with Descent, whilst proving to be a great starting point to anyone new to the band. Melodically and vocally stronger than ever, Maths have produced another incredible conceptual piece that also serves (ridiculously!) as the bands first vinyl release. Dog Knight Productions also chipped in on this release. Pressing Info - 300 x 7” solid green vinyl IN THE WEBSTORE NOW WITH A SWEET SHIRT FOR CHEAP! RELEASE DATE - JANUARY 24TH 2011

Limited to 13 special covers certainly is ridiculous. And hurtful for collector's like me!

I've put out releases with whole runs only slightly more than that, haha! I think there will be a pre-order sleeve for the Descent 12" re-issue too so keep an eye out for in going up for pre-order next month. (I think Holy Roar is getting copies too, i'm not 100% sure on that though.)

It's a new mix and new master of the record too, it really sounds way better than before in my opinion. Feels like a heavier record now I think.

Dog Knight Productions have repressed Decent in 12" Vinyl dogknightsproductions.bigcartel.com/If you want hold of a Test Press or Release Show Cover(and can't make the gig) message Darren at facebook.com/dogknightsproductions only 5 of each are available and I'm not sure how many are left, release show covers are ranging at £11-£12 and test presses are going for up to £40 When you buy other stuff from the bigcartel.

All these limited versions are kinda confusing to me :/ I will be glad once they are all sold out and it's just the two different vinyl colours left, haha, will make it much easier for me to understand. I assume Holy Roar will have a few copies too once it's released! So excited to just hold this in my hands.

Cue abuse/confusion.

Yeah, still working on the book. I am writing a preface and afterword and stuff so it's taking a little while but it should be done soon-ish. Not sure what way to go, fully perfectbound paperback and then sell them for around £7 each, or just a zine format and sell for £4 each.

Awesome, i think a proper bound edition would be really nice, and I'm sure most people would pay a little extra for it. Maths - Descent will be shipping a lot sooner than expected. If you haven't ordered one yet, do it quick! Splatter/100 are selling fast as is the other color, there is no Preorder covers left and I'm not sure if any more test presses or release show covers are left so if your after either message Darren at www.facebook.com/dogknightsproductions however if you're at the release show you can still get a copy). It is a great looking/deluxe package and you get to listen to the who re-mastered album straight away (inc a great bonus track). dogknightsproductions.bigcartel.com/Ascent is still selling strong so pick up a copy (or a shirt) here holyroarrecords.com/#/special.php?id=555 before they're gone. IF YOU LIKE MATHS/CROCUS ETC, YOU WILL LOVE THIS. We got a few copies of this in on LP direct from the band. This band rules and is(/are) legendary. Listen digitally here - thesaddestlandscape.bandcamp.com/album/you-will-not-survive - i'm sure we can sort out a download for you too if you need it! This is what Peter Clark wrote for Rocksound - "First record in seven years for the band too easily banded into the emo / screamo bracket, The Saddest Landscape offer so much more than the genre is easily stigmatised for. Andy Maddox’s screams are ones verging on a tearful breakdown throughout ‘You Will Not Survive’, slight elements of progression even creep in showing the band’s creative aspirations. Where the real beauty of the band lies, however, is in the lyrics, full of retrospect and hope: “We live our lives like the guitar breaks in, beautiful and melodic and ready to explode, and God damn, we looked good”. A wonderfully passionate record."
