Yes Ellen, your pretty much in to the all the stuff I'm in to at the moment, which is brilliant. The new Digital Mystikz lp is really quite good, I'm sure you will enjoy it. I love Mala and Coki too much, I have a rip but I'm waiting for the real version to really pass judgment properly. Alicia is a classic, half of Black Mass celebrated sorting the Holy Roar release out with a huge old dubstep mix session haha. My favourite electronic stuff at the moment is new Kryptic Minds, Oriol, Jackal Youth, Joe (rubbish name but amazing artist), Komonazmuk, Gemmy, Joaan, Scuba...ah the list goes on. Pretty much I like dark dubstep and the more garagey stuff. For any one who is interested here is some of my productions, they are very dark and kind of minimal... soundcloud.com/cvlt

I don't have enough electronic music on my pc. Obviously Crystal Castles and YLHCSD are a must like Andy said but I think I'm a lot more into dubstep. I don't really know any independant electronica artists; only bands like the ones mentioned + Does It Offend You, Yeah?
If anyone has recommendations then I'm open!

it's hard to know what to listen to with electronic as there is ALOT out there... YLHCSD as mentioned before are a favorite, i like 8-bit most of the time. I also enjoy ambient type stuff. Three Trapped Tigers, TEEJ, Ghost In The Water, Please Will are popular with my itunes.

like holyellen + calwilton, at the moment i'm liking Pantha du Prince, Flying Lotus, Ikonika, Cold Cave... Ellen Allien too also love Metronomy, Venetian Snares, DIOYY, Crystal Castles, Kap Bambino, Dandi Wind, Skream and BURIAL... and don't beat me up, but this whole Drag/Witch-house thing (stupid name, but some great music) has got me going, acts like Salem, Balam Acab, oOoOO. oh and for the more esoteric, Ed Cox (mental) and the Gaslamp Killer...

Some more great music there, we can't really underestimate the impact artists like Burial have had on music as a whole...jesus, talk about forward thinking. On a slightly more commercial side, I'm still loving the Breakage record, he is an incredible producer, and a shining light in the middle of the mediocrity of "popular dubstep".
Venetian Snares are just other worldly, has anyone ever caught Aaron live? I still love listening to ragga, jungle and jump up from time to time as well. Break beats <3

I'm not that big on breakcore that much, but Rossz csillag alatt született (yes I had to look that up) is one of my all time favorite albums - Aaron is a genius! Also I'm digging anything that Hemlock Records put out these days. I can't hack most dubstep these days but the stuff on Hemlock is often pretty minimal and always unique. I occasionally dj too, mainly playing Electro House or Dubstep but I haven't done much in a while. I put a couple of the Hemlock artists on this minimix I did a while back (stuff like burial, joy orbison etc) - soundcloud.com/jonathankb/minimal-dubstep-minimix

The minimal side of dubstep has always been the only side worth bothering about, the formulaic "wobble, big snare sample" thing got played out a very long time ago. That mix has some good tracks on, I love Fantastic Mr Fox.
Anyone listened to the Mount Kimbie album? I've not got round to it yet, but I loved their eps.

And "Rossz csillag alatt született" is definitely the best Snares record, I feel he had outgrown his breakcore period at this point though, I'd probably just file him under IDM...arghh, genres.
