I can see why people don't like them, I've heard/read good things about the new record though.

Yeah, The Now are pretty sick. Is anyone into The Kodan Armada or The Khayembii Communique? Fuckin' A, the Kodan Armada were amazing. Not heard of the other lot but will check them out. Seconding Pianos Become the Teeth (lovelovelove that album), Daitro, Sed Non Satiata, Raein, Meandgoliath, Envy, Palatka (& True North to a lesser extent), Crocus, Orchid... why has no one mentioned Saetia yet? Or am I just blind? Dolcim & We Are Skeletons are pretty good as well. & I recently got turned on to some Malaysian skramz (P.S. thanks for the explanation, hadn't figured that out yet) like Kias Fansuri & Oriana Raeo. Gotta mention local guys the Plague Sermon, too!

Gotta throw in Santo Caserio. Long gone, Scottish lot. We used to play with them quite a bit. Had a 7" and some unreleased stuff out. Can get it all real easy from around the internet. I have the 7" up on my blog here gonnamaketheponytrot.blogspot.com/2010/01/santo-caserio.html. Definitely for anyone reading this thread I reckon.

Envy are a bit overrated but dead sinking story is a great record. I saw louise cyphre and june paik at cmar and they both had excellent sets.
does anyone like tunes for bears to dance to?

On the subject of Envy, has anyone listened to the new record? I've been really enjoying it.

Daitro and Raein rule the roost for me. Everyone should listen to The Now as well....totally forgotten. One ep on robotic empire. Unreal. I've got the 10" that come out on ohnono of that. Wish i got one of the screened ones though. You're right though, they are still untouchable. EDIT: I've just realised i don't own that anymore... it went towards my xbox fund.

I saw We Came Out Like Tigers tonight, and they have a really strong 90s emo/screamo feel to them. Definately worth checking out. Reminded me alot of Kneejerk.

Saw them the night before also, in Norwich, and Maths have done two short tours with them too. The newest stuff has a nice emo feel to it definitely.
I am presently listening to Julia. Were a favourite of mine years ago, and just as good listening back. No idea what state they were from, but it's DCmo through and through.

No one seems to have mentioned Amanda Woodward who are (were?) absolutely mindblowing. Shared a bassist with Aussitot Mort when they came to london in 2006ish
Is anyone into Majority Rule (members now in Haram) or Neil Perry? Both fantastic, metallic screamo/whatevs
