There are so many awesome uk bands that dont get the recognition they deserve.......and then on the other hand so many that seem to be doing really well when in my opinion they are utter shit!!
Some of you must agree??
This thread is for the praising and recognition of those doing good and the opposite of those doing so very bad (and getting away with it)
we all love a bitter rant every now and again surely??

I still need to check out palehorse, I'm sure if you like it I most probably will dig it.
I'm sure this doesn't need to be said here but I think throats are the best upcoming uk band right now.
Never again, battle of wolf 359, meandgoliath, moloch are other good uk bands that spring to mind

i've never heard my passion but they look like they belong back in 2004. all i've seen of them is the support kerrang gives them.

as for good uk bands, besides the holy roar bands i enjoy joy division, kids cant fly, shadows chasing ghosts, gallows, blackhole, kate nash, architects, whichever attack attack is yours (not the crabcore one) and dexies midnight runners...i mean what <_<

i think its unfair that young guns and my passion have alot of support etc I saw them last week, was mediocre. But Outcry Collective supported and they were not only a lot better but more enjoyable on my ears, especially cause there were no little girls screaming during their set... |

Young Guns are somewhat decent in my opinion, My Passion however are disgraceful, I had the unfortunate event of hearing them live at Download last year... I've never wanted to stab my eyes so much! In a live setting that becomes most obvious; they get painfully slow, with a lot of spoken word parts, misanthropic lyrics. They have two bass guitars, and one hell of a pounding drummer. Their new album is coming out on EYESOFSOUND in a matter of months. I could easily say they're one of my favourite bands ever. People keep telling me they were even better 5-6 years ago.. well some use that is telling me.. They deserve your support and time for sure though. Moloch are so sweet too. Dragged Into Sunlight are worth a mention as well. Palehorse were untouchable 5/6/7 years ago, and I was prepared for them to not be anywhere near as good when I saw them recently (by that I mean like 18 months ago) but they were still sick! Great band. Haven't seen them since though... |

Saw Palehorse a couple of weeks ago (with sophie infact) and I was hugely into their new material. Just incredible live.

But I have seen that attack attack (the US band) video and at first I thought it was something that belonged on college humour. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. |

The shit band I am hating on at the moment is Blitz Kids. Check them out. It saddens me "bands" like that get exposure.
I just put scuzz on sometimes and sob at some of the videos they play.
