White Noise had sat on my 'to be read' list for ages 'til I found it in a charity shop for £1.99. Finished it a couple of days ago and thought it was great. The way it's structured around 'The Airborne Toxic Event' means it's probably worth a second read as well to better appreciate all the subtle changes. While waiting for my next couple of purchases to arrive I've gone back to the coffee table for a flick through this Excellent book and it cost less than a fiver in HMV a while back.

Our band could be your life Always It is my bible "Like" I'm reading the BYO book which is good but a bit confusing at points because it's never clear which Stern brother is writing which section! Also reading Dan Simmons 'The Terror', some Peter Watts short stories, re-reading the Scott Pilgrim comics, and a couple of politics / economics books ('The Meaning of David Cameron' and 'The Enigma of Capital & the Crises of Capitalism').

I've been reading the Kick-Ass graphic novel recently, not seen the film yet, but I doubt it'll be as good as this.

I've been reading the Kick-Ass graphic novel recently, not seen the film yet, but I doubt it'll be as good as this. I read the comic from when issue one came out, end of 2007 time, so I was expecting to be dissapointed with the film, having spent so long with the original material. Honestly wasn't, the film is different but it is a brilliant film! I saw it twice in the cinema, a rare feat for me. recently read: THINGS FALL APART by Chinua Achebe and THE OUTSIDER by Albert Camus between books right now so on some Salinger short stories.

The Outsider is great , definitely one of my favourites. I've actually just started Camus' The Plague, about 100 pages in and so far so good.
Recently read
Haruki Murakami - A Wild Sheep Chase Dostoyevsky - Notes From Underground Tao Lin - Eeeee Eee Eeee
Would recommend them all except 'Eeeee Eee Eeee' as it's pretty much just 200 pages of pop culture references and GCSE philosophy. Hipster trash.

The Outsider is great , definitely one of my favourites. I've actually just started Camus' The Plague, about 100 pages in and so far so good. I enjoyed 'The Plague', but that and 'The Outsider' are the only fiction novels I've read of his. Have you checked out much of his non-fiction work? 'The Myth of Sisyphus' and 'Reflections on the Guillotine' are both stand-out, I find myself re-reading them in full or certain sections rather often.

I was considering buying the death of grass the other day when I was in canterbury, but decided I had enough course reading to do... Another to add to the 'to read list' I also finished Norwegian Wood the other day, my first experience of Murakami and really enjoyed it.
