Because books should be talked about more. Pretty much eliminated the little faith I have in humanity, and I'm not even finished.

GOOD THREAD.
Right now I'm about halfway through The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann, it's really really good but very slow paced and 700+ pages long so feel like I've been reading it for too long. Before that I was reading a lot of non-fiction, read Super Consciousness recently by Colin Wilson. All about achieving 'peak exprience', and Wilson has written loads about the Occult so want to read them next! Best thing I've read this year so far was The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano, so good!

I keep meaning to give of House of Leaves another go. Only got about half way through last time, found myself getting a little bit too wrapped up in it so put it aside for a while (which has turned into years)
Anyway I'm reading Don DeLillo's White Noise, about half way through and loving it so far.

I just finished Into The Wild by John Krakauer, which was brilliant. Much better the film and mad inspiring.

Having the benefit of long train journeys this week meant I caught up on some reading. Finished Warday by Whitley Strieber, Zodiac by Robert Graysmith and The Rats by James Herbert. All good.

I never finished House Of Leaves either, might give it a go soon. Currently reading Last Exit To Brooklyn by Hubert Selby Jr.

I started with Death Note earlier this week as well? only read volume 1, my girlfriend has the rest. on friday I'll be having volume 2. I also order a copy of Requiem for a dream and Get in the van earlier this week. so I as soon as they arrive, I'm gonna start reading those.
